Hi all,

I have posted a similar question a few weeks ago but I would really appreciate any further input.
I have just a few days ago applied Outland, London VO. I live in Toronto with my Canadian husband and Canadian-born infant son.

My work permit expired at the end of March, I applied for restoration to Visitor and am awaiting an answer on that.

We have a trip coming up back to Ireland in September, should I be worried about not being granted reentry? I'm visa-exempt so I was hoping to get a six month visitor visa. But I have no ties to my home country at this point and have lived legally in Canada since 2010, I have no grounds to prove I will leave after the 6 months?
I would plan to bring all my receipts and proof of application etc.

Also I was wondering if anyone knows what is the worst that can happen in terms of being denied entry? Could they actually turn me away and not let me into the country with my Canadian husband and son?

Sorry for the long post I just really want to know how big a risk we would be taking by leaving. Feeling worried and stressed ::)

Given that you've been living in Canada for several years, have a sponsorship app in process and will be entering with your Canadian family, there is very little chance that you will be refused entry.

At the very worst, yes, they could refuse you entry and send you back to Ireland.

Actually the absolute worst that could happen is that they refuse you entry into Canada and also issue a 1 year exclusion order prohibiting you from entering Canada for that period. However it typically takes extreme circumstances to end up with an exclusion order.

I agree that you should have no issues re-entering Canada given your stay here has been legal and you have an application in progress.

Thank you both for your replies.
I will bring all my supporting paperwork and hope for the best!
