Should Saudi applicants be worried about the recent issue between Canada and KSA?

I wouldn't be too worried because as long as you're not a Saudi national, IRCC is gonna adapt to handling applicants from that region in some way.

By Saudi applicants, I meant Saudis. I did not mean those who currently live in KSA and applied from there to IRCC.

oh then I would be a little concerned since I'd assume that there is gonna be a wait before you would receive any kinda information with regards to EE especially when they're probably dealing with higher diplomatic issues.

Canada has not reciprocated yet, but they may. Also, the embassy being closed will affect applications being processed over there.

let me give an idea how it has impacted business... we have business partner for whom we made an AI based product. We got out money from company perspective. But his business in Saudi went on hold , as he is registered in Canada . So yes impacts are happening. His travel was cancelled by KSA embassy , as visa verification, so stopped.

What type of application are you referring to? If its an Express Entry/Immigration application - obviously there won't be any impact, If you are planning to come to Canada as a student on your "own expense", you won't be impacted too. Canada is a mature country, its decisions are not driven by emotions.

In my understanding, the only ones impacted are the Saudi students who are currently studying in Canada at the expense of the Saudi government. They are unfortunately impacted because the Saudi government wants them to leave (not the Canadian government).

This is a very unfortunate event that has impact on so many hopeful Saudis and their applications.

How about TRV's and SOWP applications? Anyone have any idea ? Are they still taking new apliocations ?
