SHould PR holder takes a new IELTS for university?

Hello all,
IF a PR holder tend to study master degree and eligibility asked for IELTS Academic at 6.5 or any point
should take another IELTS rather than General ? not possible to enroll with the existing IELTS which has applied in Express Entry .
Or this is a negotiable matter with university .............

If you are not an native English speaker, you will need to give IELTS Academic. Again PR has nothing to do with this.
