My wife and I are both PRs, My son is just born, but not in Canada. I have job in Canada, so I will be the sponsor, should my wife be the co-signer? She has no job now

What is the co-signer for?

Thanks

no, you don't need a co-signer.

co-signers are needed when one is sponsoring other relatives (e.g. parents) but does not have enough income. there's no minimum income requirement for spousal sponsorship, therefore a co-signer will not be needed to sponsor your wife and son.

I also posted another question about how to sign on behalf of my son who is only one month. I should sign my name or "my son's name (signed by applicant's father on behalf of him + my name)?
