Should I retake IELTS (L: 8, R: 8, S: 7, W: 6.5, O: 7.5)

Hello,

I received my IELTS scores today: L: 8, R: 8, S: 7, W: 6.5, O: 7.5.

I'm disappointed with a 6.5 in writing. I took the test as the test is recommended for visa though I am exempt from the test due to spending 3 years in the U.K.

Should I retake the test to improve my Writing score? Would it improve my chances in anyway for a study permit?
