I sent in my application for Renewal of my Permanent Residence (PR)
card a while back
I just checked the status of the Renewal of my Permanent Residence
(PR) card application using the CIC application status website.
I found the following status updates:
We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 8, 2013.
We started processing your application on August 26, 2013.
Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on September 17, 2013, and will be issued shortly. Although the majority of permanent resident cards are mailed directly to applicants, it is possible that a card be sent to a CIC office as part of the quality assurance program. If this is your case, you will receive a notice asking you to pick up your card at the CIC office nearest you.
It's already 11-Oct-2013, and I failed to receive any more news.
Should I reach out to CIC by phone, and ask them why it's taking so
long? However, if it is typical for Renewals to take this long, then
could someone please give me an estimate on how much longer it will
take?
Thanks
