Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am preparing the documentation for applying to Federal Skilled Workers program, and my plan is to apply in 2013.

My question is do you think moving in Canada is a good decision for me? My current conditions are the following:

I work in IT department of a multinational company as system administrator, I am telecommunications engineer and I have Cisco and Microsoft certificates. I am fluent in English and I am 28.
Not married but have a serious relationship here in my country.
I also have a cousin that lives in Toronto area, and is Canadian citizen, and he has offered to help me settle which by my opinion is a great advantage.

One of the biggest reasons that I want to move in Canada are the economic factors, but health and education system too, which are quite bad in my country.

I am expecting your sincere opinions. Thanks :)

Moving to Canada is obviously a great choice and it is doubtful that anyone on this site will tell you anything different. You would need to think about what the effect of this type of move would have on the relationship with your current boyfriend, especially if it is a serious one. The fact that you have family here in Canada as well as the fact that you speak and write english fluently are major advantages. You would benefit from getting some free advice from David Cohen about options on immigrating to Canada and your profession. Good luck to you! Do you mind me asking what country you are from?

Thanks for the support. Are you a resident of Canada already? I am from Macedonia btw.

I am a Canadian Citizen sponsoring my Australian husband. Just waiting on the AIP. It should be here any day now. I sponsored my previous husband in 1998 and he died in 2006. I know that it is a very stressful procedure to go through but if you want something bad enough in life you should just go for it. There are going to be sacrifices along the way and we are going to make decisions we don't want to make but you only live once. If you can make it to Canada, do it. No matter what anybody tells you, it is a great Country.
