Hi folks,

I know this question has been asked before, but the results I found were not indicative of my situation. I will try to summarise mine below; would be wonderful if I can get some pointers or guidance!

I applied for a PR via EE FSW (outland), before I turn 30, last year in Dec 2019. My case details meant I scored 481, significantly higher than the threshold at that time. Now, my application has been delayed due to Covid-19, but GCMS notes (as of Oct 2020) suggest all checks (criminal, health, etc.) are successfully done, and only a final decision is pending.

However, I also plan to get married in mid 2021 (when my age will be 31), so my questions are:

1. Does CIC re-calculate points of the original application and/or spouse's application, in which case I would expect my points to drop to perhaps the boundary/threshold?
2. Is there an official document/guidance available to confirm an answer to the question above?

Thanks a tonne!

Scores do not get re-calculated after AOR.

If you add your spouse before after AOR, they will only do medical criminality, and security checks for your spouse. They used to take 3-4 months before COVID in terms of processing time.

If you add after COPR, you will only be able to land after your spouse has been added to the application.

Ideally, if possible, try to add your spouse to an ongoing application as it will help both you plan and land together.
