Hello all,

I'm a Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife (American) for her family outland PR. We have prepared all the documentation and will be sending out the package very soon. I have secured and signed a job offer in Toronto, and we recently visited to also secure an apartment and just signed a lease, she is only listed as a possible occupant in the lease.

My question is if I should include my signed job offer AND apartment lease as proof we'll live in Canada once her PR application is approved. Will a CIC agent think this is too strong and that there's an intent for her to live there regardless of her status? I know that could cause problems at the border, however I'm unsure about including it in the application. She has also had a couple job interviews but they will not give her an offer letter until she has her PR.

Our current plan if for her to live with me with a passport VISA stamp, crossing the border at separate times so she's not coming across with a uhaul full of our belongings. I can support us until she's able to work.

Thanks for all replies and opinions.

HI, I just saw this, did you solve it already ?

I think you should include it.

Let us know :)

Hi, thanks for the reply. I didn't end up including the lease as well, but provided solid proof of our intent to relocate once her PR status is granted. Thanks!
