Hi Everyone,

I recently graduated from one of the public colleges in Ontario and I got a PGWP for it as well. I got a job offer right out of the school which falls under the NOC B category. I researched a bit and I found out that I am eligible for OINP Employer job offer stream as I graduated from an eligible institute plus I have a valid job offer, However, I heard from someone that this paper PR process takes approximately from 15 to 19 months. I am more inclined to apply under the Canadian Experience Class as soon as I obtain a year of full-time job experience. Going by my calculations, I will be having in excess of 470 points by the end of next May (2020) and the processing time for Express Entry applications are around 6 months. I also heard that provincial immigration programs are incredibly inefficient and time-consuming. As of now, I have a valid work permit for 3 years which gives me both these options. I understand that there's no guarantee that the CRS score would not go above 470 by the time I become eligible but do I have to apply under the provincial program first as some sort of backup and apply under EE as I become eligible for it? My probationary period is not over yet, so I don't think this is the right time to ask my employer to help me with the provincial immigration process. What would you do if you were me?
