Hi all,
I am working in BC from March 2019. On January 2020, I joined a new company which doesnt need lmia.
On March 2020, I got the additional points for 1 year experience. However, i read that I'll not get the 50 points for job offer as the new employer is lmia exempt and I have to work for 1 year for getting the additional 50 points. Is this correct?
Please advice which is a better option for me::
1) Wait for 1 year to get the 50 points and then apply.
2) Apply for bcpnp.

Thank you!

What kind of work permit do you hold?

BC pnp is crazily competitive. May I know which stream are you applying and your background?

Thank you! Background is information technology.
May i know why its competitive. If i get a nomination, with the 600 additional points, one is sure to get an ITA right ?

it is not competitive after u got the nomination. I meant it is competitive to get a nomination. you might get in under Tech Pilot stream which is really easy. but other than the tech pilot stream, in order to get nominated by BC, your background would have easily achieve a CRS score of 480 (I know, no point of getting bc pnp at this point anymore right).

My score is below 450 so i need to increase the points. If I apply through tech pilot stream, how easy is it to get a nomination or is it guaranteed ?

they have a guaranteed of 85 points for tech pilot stream as per BC PNP ranking. my CRS is 434 and I got 83 in that rank but I don't qualify for tech pilot anyway. Other stream is at least 100. I'm sure u can get more than 85 if you qualify for the tech pilot.
