Hi all,
I am in a hurry to get all my residency paperwork in by April 1, my birthday, when I will lose points because of my age. I began to look at the residency paperwork last week, and felt quite intimidated by it. I have contact with an immigration lawyer in Montreal who a few friends have used and who is great.
I currently live and work in Montreal, on a NAFTA visa, which is valid for 3 years.
My question: Do you know if the immigration agents look negatively on someone who uses a lawyer? Will my application possibly be delayed due to this?
I would rather *not* spend $3000 on a lawyer...but really want to get the residency done ASAP.
Any thoughts much appreciated!!!
