Hi Guys,
I am Oct '12 CEC applicant who completed medical and RPRF.

I did not submit any police clearance certificates yet. I am thinking whether to complete FBI and police checks to save time in the event CIC asks for them.

Please advise on whether I should do police clearance? Are there cases in which people were never been asked certificates and got PR?

I am staying in Canada since 3 yrs. Also would I like to add that I have another FSW application in process for which I submitted all police clearance certificates in 2010. Will CIC use those for my CEC application?

Thanks!

Please help guys if you have answer ;D . Thanks!

PCCs are supposed to be considered valid by CIC for only one year, so no, it is unlikely that the earlier PCCs will be used for the CEC application.

Police clearances are supposed to be submitted with the application, so this would hardly be "in advance."

It is possible that for some reason, you could "get away with it," that CIC doesn't ask for them. But I think that's unlikely, and you know it takes 6-8 weeks to get the FBI cert. Personally, I wouldn't waste another minute asking this question - get them!
