Should I apply under FSW 1 or 2? Does it matter? Please help

Hi folks,

I have one IELTS report. Just learnt that IELTS will not provide a second one ( )

So I have to choose whether to apply under FSW 1 or 2.

The offices I can send to are either Australia or Canada.

Any thoughts? Need to submit, desperate for some guidance

you are wrong. IDP & British council provides an additional copy if you tell them that you are applying to CIC for Canada immigration

I spoke to UBC IELTS - they want either proof of payment (doesn't make sense) or they want my COMPLETE PR application.

I do not understand on what basis a University can be privy to all my private data for the sake of a test I took.

There are 3 categories to apply as a Federal Skilled Worker :

) if you have at least one year of continuous and paid (full-time or an equal amount in part-time) work experiencein a single occupation,within the last 10 years,
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC)AND You have this work experience in one of the eligible occupations,

2)You have a valid offer of arranged employment,

3) You are an international student who is enrolled in a PhD program in Canada (or who graduated from a Canadian PhD program within the past 12 months) and meet these criteria.

Then apply for 2. With 1 you have to worry about your application reaching CIC before the cap for your NOC is reached.

If u have arranged employment then defenitely go for FSW2 category

Apply with arranged employment as Sycilia mentioned, your application will be processed if the cap is reached and as a bonus you get 10 extra points.
