Hi All,

I really want to migrate to Canada because it allows spouses to get work permits too. My spouse is on an H4 visa in the USA with me so she cannot work here (i am on an H1B). After trying hard to do something about her H4 it seems the possibilities are minimal.

However, i do not have a job offer from any employers in Canada (i guess you have to be really lucky to get an offer the first time). Is it wise to apply for any of the PNP programs (e.g. British Columbia) or should i wait and find a job first?

Is there anyone here whose PR was approved without actually having a job offer?

Any help is most appreciated? It kills me to see that i am destroying my wife's career.

To the best of my knowledge, all PNP's currently need a job offer in hand.
However, on the federal level, Canada is currently running a new intake for Federal Skilled Workers with no job offer needed. Check their website.

To the best of my knowledge you can't apply for BC PNP without a job offer in Canada. But maybe I'm wrong?

It is kind of a vicious circle for me.

Employers in Canada don't hire you if you do not have a work permit, and you can get a work permit only if you have a job offer.

I just double checked and it looks like BC PNP will definitely reject an application without a job offer.
