I am writing my IELTS in June. Live in US. Should I apply for police certificate now or wait?

Come on. You weren't helpful at all. I am writing the IELTS for immigration purposes. Thats why this forum exist. Do i need to apply for the police certificate now or wait for the invitation to apply before getting the police certificate. Dont waste my time if you dont know the answer LOL

That's a bit rude, dude. We definitely cannot tell you whether to go for a PCC or not. Consider this:
1. IRCC needs a PCC that has a 6 months validity.
2. Do you know what CRS score you're going to get after IELTS/ECA?
3. In USA, you'll be able to get PCC within 6 days, but there's also a 90 day wait through another route. Not very well versed with this but do a little research and you'll get the info.

You haven't specified what CRS you're likely to get, so base your decision on that. You need PCC only post ITA.

I suggest you submitting a request for US FBI report immediately. It takes ~4 months for me to get the US police report in 2016 (Not sure why someone mentioned 6 days if he applied before).

Because through eDO "Current processing time for Identity History Summary requests submitted electronically is estimated to be three to five business days upon receipt of the fingerprint card. Allow additional time for mail delivery if this option was selected during the request process."

I guess the eDO is a new system which didn't exist 2 years ago. It's true to always check the most updated info.
