My Fiancee is working in the US on H1-B and she is fully vaccinated.

Up until this point, I thought I will invite her to visit Canada as an extended family member ( written authorization needed from IRCC).

But now the canada.ca website says that they will allow international travellers to enter Canada who is fully vaccinated starting September 7.

So my question is; Should I apply right now, or should I wait till September 7 and then apply for her Visitor visa.

Hi!
But If I apply now, won't the onus will be on me to prove that she is an extended family member. Whereas if she applies after 7 September, I think it will require less proving. Just looking for some isights.

If you want to wait then wait but given processing times, it most likely be after September 7 when you receive any response.

But I think I didn't explained myself clearly.

In my mind, I have this scenario :
Apply before Sept 7 and prove a lot of things (such as we are in a relationship for over a year)
Apply after Sept 7 and I can just send a letter to her inviting to Canada.

Am I wrong in this reasoning.

You can wait. She needs to show strong ties to her home country too.

Thanks!

One final question. We are in a relationship for the past 1.5 years. How do I prove that? LIke we have old messages, photos to various places we visited, but how to prove them

You don’t need to apply for special authorization if you apply now. Just apply for the TRV.
