Should I apply for a Health card straightaway?

My question is stated in the subject itself. However thats incomplete. I shall be completing my landing soon but wont be living there straightaway. I need to come back and sort several things out before I start living there permanently. So should I apply for the health card when I land or is it okay to wait till such time I start living there permanebtly?

Will appreciate a response. All ideas welcome!

I think you should apply for the health card til such time you start living there permanently.

You can't do it straightaway. You will have to prove that you live in that province. Evidence such as addresses in a bank statement, lease and enrolment in University courses.

If they are aware of you having left for too long then yes, you may lose it again.
