Dear Friends,

I applied in 2004 from New Delhi and my application was one of those hundreds of thousands of applications that I heard were terminated after the FSW program criteria was changed. I never heard from the Candian Immigration ever. All money gone.

Now I have been in Dubai since last 10 years. I am 40 years old, and I can still meet the required points for immigration.

Please guide me on the below points:
Point 1: Should I make a new application?
Point 2: if yes, then under what category/program?

Would be grateful for your advice!

I would contact CIC regarding your fees. You should be refunded.

1) This is really your choice. I don't think any of us here can answer this question for you.
2) Canada's immigration streams have changed since the time you applied. If you haven't already, I would recommend you research the various programs available to see what it takes to qualify and how you should apply. I would recommend you start by looking at the FSW/Express Entry program and then look into the Provincial Nominee Programs. You can find detailed information here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp Note that for FSW/Express Entry, you would want to have 460+ points to have a good chance of being selected. You'll need to take the IELTS test if you haven't done so in the last couple of years and will also need to get your education officially assessed.

Thanks so much for your response!

How can I get my education assessed? I saw some information on the ECA link but which body to select and how should I send them my transcripts/certificates. Can I attach online?
