Should financial status be mentioned in the SOP?

So the bank statements provided are not in my name. But letters were written and authorized by the respective acct holders, that they will.be financing my studies.So i was wondering if that needs to be addressed in the letter. Also will this lessen my chances of getting approved?
Btw my application has already been submitted and I recently found out about the SOP after the fact.

Yes, you should establish your financial situation. Any funds not in your own name are less credible than ones you can show personally.
