Hey guys!
I'm CEC inland and I'm waiting for my passport and COPR (sent to Ottawa) but I was wondering... what's the shortest length of time that CIC has given someone to do landing? I'm kinda worried because my husband's (dependent) medical exams will expire on October 20th and they didn't ask for new ones

It's been over a week since we sent my original passport and the photocopy of his passport (he doesn't need visa) and no updates yet. From what I've read it's taking about 2 weeks for the application status to change to approved so I'm hoping to see it changing sometime next week and that would give us a week or less to do the landing.

Has anyone been in the same situation?

Thanks!!

Shortest period I've seen is less than couple weeks.

Shortest I've seen is when the COPR arrived already expired.

It is possible that you may only be given days to land but it is more likely that IRCC extended your partner's medical.

What happens if it's expired when it arrives?
I'm hoping they give us more time to find a plane ticket because I don't want to take chances at any of the Niagara bridges.

You return it and they re-issue it with an extended date. Note that receiving an expired COPR is a pretty rare occurrence.

Hello, I'm in the same situation and I'm wondering how was it for you? what was the period given?
