Shipping Luggage to Canada

Hi Forum,

Any advice on best / feasible way to ship 4 - 5 boxes ( 125 KG Total weight ) from Pakistan to Canada.

which is best:

PIA?
Air Cargo shipping?
Sea freight?

reason i ask, is because i am not sure if sea freight would take 125KG of 4 -5 boxes.


Your thoughts pls on best economical method to save $$$$..

When my wife moved from Canada to the UK, she used a company called Seven Seas worldwide shipping.

They shipped 2 boxes @ maximum of 30kg per box (they provide the boxes as part of the cost IIRC), so based on this you may need about 4-5 boxes. It took about 40 or so days and all customs was handled by them, collected and delivered door to door.

We will probably use them again when she has to move back later this year before i (hopefully) get my PR.

They may ship from Pakistan to Canada, although i'm unsure of exactly what countries they offer services in.

There may be cheaper/better options, but that's who we have used before.

1st Time entry into Canana - Excess Luggage ok???

Hi Forum,

Someone told me today that when u are entering into Canada for the first time, the person entering can

bring in an excess amount of luggage then a normal passenger.


pls confirm if anyone has a better understanding.

Excess Baggage is an option too. Either you pay by cash or mileage for that extra baggage allowance with the airline.
