This morning I received an email requesting Schedule A for for me and my wife saying:

Ø Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature including updated Personal History since 18th birthday. Ensure updated form has no gaps in addresses and activities. You can send a scanned copy as a reply to this email.

I wonder what's the reason for this request because I've double checked our original forms and there is no gaps.
However original document requested history 10 years back or from 18th birthday and above request is asking Personal History since 18th birthday.
Since we originally filled only history for past 10 years I was wondering if that might be a reason or could it be that document is outdated since we sent it 8 months ago??
Has anyone had anything like this before ?
in a separate mail I've received a medical request but only for my youngest 4 years old son.

That's a quite common request. Not sure why CIC asked for the update in your case,
but I would recommend filling out a new form and submitting it ASAP, instead
of over-analyzing the request ;)

There's not much to analyze, I'm trying to understand whether I should change something or only update it to present time since it's 8 months old.

To take a stab at your original question - by all accounts, it isn't routine for them to request an updated Schedule A. For whatever reason, I guess they have decided in your case that your personal circumstances since you applied, and/or prior to ten years before you applied, is something they are interested in.
