dear sharma77

u have recently gone through medicals. can u let us know about the procedure 4 the same? also what type of tests u had to go through? what is the fee to be paid 4 medicals? and most important ur minor child was subject to which type of medical tests? if u can share ur exp that will be really gr8. i m expecting my medical to arrive soon and my son is 3 years' old.

medicals for canada is not a big fuss! take appointment from DMP in ur area, because there is a heavy rush of student visa applicants for australia theses days. go to the counter of the hospital, they will ask u the papers, passports, photos. u have to sign few papers for invetigations and all. pay them fee 2400 for adult and 700 for a minor kid below 5.go to the doctor chamber he will ask some questions abt ur previous medical health an so on. simple examination, eye test, bp, height, weight. two pricks for blood test i.e. routine blood tests and HIV. go for X-RAYS. and u r done. for a kid below 5 no blood test or x-rays just simple examination for physical and mental development. but whole process can consume ur half day for sure.

thnx for sharing all that. just one more qus, do we need to take negatives for the photographs alongwith us or not? one of my frined has told me that DMP asks for the same at the time of medicals.

i took it for x-rays but no one asked for it exept photo.

hi...

mine too was an ok one.

fees as they mention in the medical forms that they send you. Dont remember the exact amount but i guess the figures quoted by him are the same.

i have a 3 year old child. general physical examination of him including height, weight and chest and abdomen examination.

for me whether any gynaecological problem, whether had caesarian section or had a normal delivery, height, weight, blood pressure and blood, urine examination and x ray chest. any history of being treated for any illness or admission in hospital for any major problem.

in general it is ok. not to worry much.

all the best.

for husband investigations same as above. Only trouble was that BP was slightly high so I was tensed regarding the outcome of the visa.

advice is this ....take your medicines regularly few days before and on the day of examination to avoid any obstacle in the last stages of visa.

medical is the easiest part of immigration process, belive me!

there is nothing serious abt medicals ...................when u will get the request for medicals u urself will get in positive frame of mind and mind it if u r suffering from anything that will hide itself and nothing will be seen.............and for fees...we people r waiting from long time and it does'nt matter if they ask for more thousand of rupees....after all it is CANADA..............lols

well. i have nothing 2 hide, so i m not afraid of that. it's just i wanted to have some knowledge about the process. that's why i started this thread.
