share PRTD application experience China

I would like to share my experience for PRTD application since lots of people here helpedme in the past months. Submitted application on March 8----Got email to provide 2 more documents(entryandexistform and relative form) on May 10---request to mail the passport on May 13. I am still checking with VAC in China where to mail it since Beijing/Shanghai VAC are closed due to COVID19.

Did you Via e-mail to apply PRTD? I saw VAC web says since 2021.6 no longer accept PRTD application. only via e-mail.
how long the PRTD valid time? 6 month? 60 days?

Really depends on whether your case is evaluated as a normal PRTD or evaluated based on H&C conditions if you have any. The fact that your wife joined you in your home country usually means that the time together doesn’t count towards RO. You will have to see how your case is evaluated. If denied you4 wife can sponsor you again but you will have to prove that you plan on permanently relocating to Canada if approved.
