Hi,
I am confused about the GPA requirement for SFU MSc. Big data program. Am I eligible?
My profile:
Btech Computer Science from India:
Requirement website says [Screenshot here https://pasteboard.co/JGXCuWa.png]:
"a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.33 scale or 3.33 on a 4.00 scale (B+) based on the last 60 credits of undergraduate courses. All graduate work is also considered."
Drilling down further gives me international equivalency for India as below:
International Equivalency LINK below says 8 out of 10 is needed. Does this mean I am not eligible for the program?
https://www.sfu.ca/gradstudies/apply/applying/requirements/india.html
Thanks in advance.
P.S: Posting on behalf of my cousin (B.Tech from India)

I am confused about the GPA requirement for SFU MSc. Big data program. Am I eligible?
My profile:
Btech Computer Science from India:
- Overall 4 year GPA - 7.57/10
- Last 60 credits GPA - 8.11/10 [Am I doing it right?]
- How am I calculating :
- 8th sem = 21 credits - 8.29
- 7th sem = 27 credits - 7.74
- 6th sem = 13 credits (best ones from 26 credits) - 8.3
- So total from 61 credits = (8.29 + 7.74 + 8.3)/3 = 8.11
