Settlement issues: professional certification for Early Childhood education?

Hi All,

My wife is a practicing Early Childhood Educator (a pre school teacher) here in the US.
She has a Diploma from the US certified by the NYEAC.
Will that allow her to be hired in a similar institution in Canada or will she need to have some kind or Canadian certification?

We are keen to start life smoothly in Canada so your responses will be really valuable.

Need to be certified.
So far I know rather than the federal government the elementary teachers in Canada certified by individual provinces.
