Hello,
1. I am a skilled worker and I work in Canada with Work Permit of one year. I would like to know in my situation if I need a Settlement Fund.
2. My another question is about: 2 self address mailing lables. I can't understand what does it mean. Should I include two address mails (one in Canada and other in my country) in my application package?

You have two options in respect to POF only ( You need to be eligible for other factors):

1. Apply for PR independent of your current job (If your profession is in NOC list and are u eligible) - You have to show POF
2. Apply for PR with your current job (Is it in the NOC list?) - You do not have to show POF

For the 1st option - If you are eligible, then your PR processing will continue till you receive your PR.

For the second option : For example, (hope not) if you lose job or your job is not extended beyond the 1 yr period and the PR is still being processed, then the matrix of your PR application automatically changes as without a job you can not claim that you have POF...so you will have to provide POF to VO as and when a situation like this arises. This is a tricky situation as you will have to inform VO and that would the time to include a fresh POF..whether VO would consider it....is not in your hands.

2 self address mailing labels.
your current address one in English/French and one in your native language.
write these on separate papers

Hi Ahmad,

Applicants can have their "Current address" and "Mailing address" as same or different.

One can live at a CURRENT ADDRESS but might want the MAILING ADDRESS as different.

Don't send two different mail addresses! only the one where you reside. You just need it written twice, once in English or French and once in the native language of the country where you live (probably so the post office doesn't mess up!)

Your suggestion is wrong.

One can have a different Mailing and Current address...and one has to provide the LABELS with the MAILING address and not the current address unless the Current address and Mailing address are one and the same.

The Ecas will show the MAILING ADDRESS and not the CURRENT ADDRESS because your current address might change couple of times before your PR is processed. CIC needs a more Permanent address where Immigration sensitive documents can be send.

The language on the labels can be English as basically all Post offices over the world understand English....but if the applicant is not comfortable with English then he can use the Native language of his country.

Hi Seniors and Experts,

I have a huge query to ask. Please guide me with the best of your information.

My case is at RBVO stage. Me and my wife has applied for PR jointly. I will be blessed with the child anytime within next 20 days.

Is it mandatory to update CIC and what effect would it have on my case. like FUNDS REQUIRED, IMMIGRATION FEES AND DELAY IN PROCESSING TIME.

Hi Vikas,

Glad to know that you are going to be father soon......congratulations to you and your better half....you must be all excited to welcome your Bundle of joy.

Yes, Vikas...you will have to UPDATE CIC about change in family composition...which is addition of your baby and include processing fees - Read this as MANDATORY.

If there is a delay then it is worth it and not in your hands....you have to do this.

Again...congratulations.
