TO get proof of funds from bank do we have to inform bank that we need letter for Canada immigration?

Is the letter required only from the principal applicant?

ya u need to tell them that u require it for immigration purposes, it's upto u even if u don't wanna mention that. If u are showing all funds in one account which is of principal applicant than one only,if u are showing more than one accounts than letter has to be for every a/c.

1. Yes, you need to tell the bank that u need one for Canada immigration.

2. U need one for the principal account. If your spouse has an account,u can ask the bank to prepare one for her.
