Dear All,

I kindly seek your advice on whether it is necessary to disclose the past medical history of my spouse, specifically regarding breast cancer, which was successfully treated and cured last year.

If anyone has encountered a similar situation in their application process, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Could you please advise on the steps involved? Additionally, I am concerned about whether this disclosure might affect the medical examination process or cause any delays in the overall file processing.

Lastly, and most importantly, I would like to know if this could have any impact on the processing time of the principal applicant's file.

Thank you in advance for your valuable input.

Not disclosing it would be misrepresentation which could lead to a ban. If no current evidence of disease there is no reason for her not to get approved. I would bring medical history, prognosis and follow-up required letter from her oncologist to the medical. You should be aware that securing an oncologist and a GP in many parts of Canada can be difficult at the moment.
