seperated parents

i submitted my application for my mom under parents sponsorship 2019 and showed my parents as legally seperated, i did attach an affidavit of separation attested from a notary. would that be enough? My father is just not co-operating . My mom just filed for legal seperation in a court ( she is not ready to invest time and money on divorce as she is in her late 60's. Would CIC ask for divorce? Please help?

She should be OK if she can demonstrate she has filed to legally separate.

When you say “just”when do you mean? If her application coincides with PGP application she could be asked for more proof that she is actually separated. Unfortunately some people do falsify separations to try to sponsor a parent due to not meeting LICO or due to a parent’s health issues.
