Separation

Hi everyone,
I want to ask questions. I arrived in Canada 2014 as a immigrant. I have PR already. I stay with him 2 years and 4months now. We both agree to have separation. My question where do I stand in my status in Canada?

if you had condition 51 on your pr approval, and it's been over 2 years since you landed as a pr, then there is no risk to your pr status. if you didn't have condition 51 attached, then there is no risk to your pr status.

you are a pr and are free to live your life normally in canada, even if that means separating and divorcing your sponsor. the risk is more on your sponsor in this case, since the sponsor is legally bound to financially support you for 3 years after landing. if at any point you take social assistance, your sponsor will be required to pay the gov't back.
