Hello All,

I sent my sponsorship application (Spouse) last week and this week my spouse received a job offer(actually the letter was sent to me) from a Canadian Hospital(She is a physician back home). My questions are...

1. What should I do ?
2. How can I let CPC-M know that she now has a job offer?
3. Since there is a start date in the letter is there a way to get CPC-M to expedite the processing of the application?
4. Should she maybe submit a T- Work VISA application form ?

Thank you in advance for your response.

The job offer won't affect the sponsorship application, and you can't get CPC-M (or the overseas visa office) to expedite the sponsorship application.

What you have now is a "dual intent" situation, where she plans to become a permanent resident eventually, but also has a genuine desire to become a temporary resident worker in the mean time.

What you need to do is apply for the work permit separately, just as if the PR application wasn't happening, including the job offer (and LMO if required) - probably the hospital will have someone who can assist with the work permit paperwork if they often make job offers to foreign nationals.
