Sent PR application but just thought of issue.

So we have sent the PR application in, and when my girlfriend filled out her additional family info form she used her stepfather as her Father. She does not recognize her biological father as her actual father because of reasons of her own, and her mother left him at a young age.

We are now worried that when we fill out the Schedule A forms, it asks for her father again, and on her birth certificate it lists her Biological father. Should we put the stepfather in the Schedule A form even though the birth certificate states different?

We never sent a written letter stating this when we sent the package...Is this going to cause us issues, or should we or can we do. We never even thought about this or foresaw it.

You should have written the biological father. IRCC doesn't ask the applicant to list the step-parent.

Send the corrected form and an explanation as soon as you have the file number. This may be considered as misrepresentation but it's better to be upfront about it. IRCC always advises applicants to be truthful no matter what.

Don't bother with the Call Centre, they are pretty much useless.

She should have listed her legal father and does need to correct it but it's not something to stress about. Send a CSE now correcting the info and then include an LOE when submitting the Schedule A.
