Sent an enquiry with additional info - no response

It's been nearly 40 days since I sent a case specific enquiry to London VO with additional info about my application, but they haven't replied back. Could they have added the info to my file without notifying me, or do they always notify the sender? I'm wondering whether or not I should follow up on this...

CIC rarely if ever acknowledges receipt of documents. I think some VO's might send an email back stating they received your inquiry but most times you won't hear anything.

Was this a document that was requested, or did you just send it of your own volition?

i sent it voluntarily. it was just a correction for one of the forms.

Don't worry about it. They won't reply. My wife also sent an updated form along with more relationship proofs and a request to add the district and province to her address on ECAS. We never got a reply but sure enough 3 days later the address was updated.
