If it is a Bachelor's as you mentioned then 20 points. Will confirm once I get the proper source for this information.

Yes will let you know by tomorrow. There are certain degree which are treated equivalent or higher as per Canadian Standards so I will let you know by tomorrow.

Hello aaycee:

For sure you will get 20 pts. believe me. My first application was like 5 years ago. They gave me 20 pts. for that bachelor degree. What I really don't know is how many points for the specialty. But dentist is not in the 38 occupational list so I imagine yo must be applying as a university professor or a health manager. Whichever it is good luck.

Medical doctor degrees are generally first-level university credentials, in the same way that a
Bachelor of Law or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology is a first level, albeit “professional” degree
and should be awarded 20 points. If it is a second-level degree and if, for example, it belongs to a
Faculty of Graduate Studies, 25 points may be awarded. If a bachelor’s credential is a prerequisite to
the credential, but the credential itself is still considered a first-level degree, then 22 points would be
appropriate. It is important to refer to how the local authority responsible for educational institutions
recognizes the credential: i.e., as a first-level or second-level or higher university credential.

Yes Maaties...it is...:)
As I have already applied under 4131 and as u know i am unable to send all the documents to VO by due date..
So,I am still in Dilemma whether to withdraw this application and reapply or I can reapply without withdrawing the application under NOC 3113 i.e. Dentist???????????

I think you should leave the old application. Wouldn't it just be processed as normal?

i didn't get ur ques.?!

Sorry, I just woke up and didn't read your question carefully. If you think your current application would be denied, then best to email, fax and write to ask them to withdraw your current application and write a new one to CIO.

This is only if you think your current one will get denied for lack of documentation. Good luck.
