Dear Seniors,

My case details is as follows:-

Age Points - 10
Education Points - 20 ( B.Com-3 yrs + CA Inter - both from mumbai) - not considering 22 points
Work Experience - 21 ( more than 4 years exp)
IELTS - 12 ( 2 high + 2 moderate)
Spouse Eduction - 4 ( B.Com - 3 years - from mumbai)

Total Points - 67

I am confident that I have attended the passing points. But if the AO, try to reduce my points from Education or Experience ( which i m 100% sure should not reduce the points), my case will be rejected.

Seniors , do I need to appear IELTS again. I dont want to take chance as this will be last chance for my application which is at initial stage only.

Please advise.

I am no expert but since you have not lived outside India, you will be required to do the IELTS (that is if it was still the old system). They have changed it for the new applicants that all must do IELTS so I am sure they have no reason not to ask you to do the same. If I were you, I would not give them an excuse to refuse your application. I would also put 22 points (as a 3 year apprenticeship for CA) and let them bring you down 2 points. That is only my opinion. I do not know the risk of doing that, so you should decide. Good luck.

As Maaties said do not risk it and Take IELTS.

The rules have changed drastically and if your application is refused you will not be able to re apply under your NOC code

Hey Ankit, see the new rules?

Dear maatie,

I have applied from Dubai directly. I am working in Dubai from last 7 yrs.

Will it make any difference.

Regards

Yeah I saw them

Nothing doing w/o IELTS now, Full app to CIO only, Cap of 20000, other restriction of 1000 per NOC, substantially altered NOC will impact most applicants on this forum.

They have really tightened up. Iam releived that I applied well in time

No, because in the old system, they were a bit lenient on people from English speaking countries. But with the new rules, even UK and US citizens must write IELTS. I would write IELTS if I were you.

Its very tight now. The CAP rule is really weird, it is going to become like the H1b where all the slots are taken up on day 1.

Yep, probably more restricted than H1B. Here it is only 20K

Also the guys have taken off the occupations under which mosy Indians would apply, so big impact on Indian applicants

Ankit_20 and Maaties - this is good for diversity. Previously, it was mostly Indians taking up 0213 and 4131 but I am sure Canada is better of diverse rather than only having immigrants from one or two countries. I am Indian only. The new rules will give other country men a chance.

Exactly i personally feel indian applicant will be effected no doubt and applicants from other regions like europe willl have advantage

Guys I agree it will help diversity, do not get me wrong that I am against it.

I knew so many people who were planning to apply and they will not be able to do so, so I was feeling sorry for them

I am relieved for my self and wish all others who will qualify under new rules from around the globe, all the very best

Yep diversity good. I hope people find another way to get PR.
