[SENIORS PLEASE] Uncommon question about marriage

Let me to explain the situation first:

I live in Brazil and here we can make an affidavit of common law marriage in a notary office and it is an official document that recognize the relationship.

In fact we can more, in any time we can convert this official common law into a civil marriage and in the civil marriage document will have an official note about that.

Now my question:

I converted my official common law marriage to civil marriage as described above, so what need I inform about my marriage date, the date of common law (from where civil marriage was converted) or just the date of civil marriage?

I was advised that Canada do not recognize this kind of document.

If anyone can help me I will really appreciate, I'm in PR process and I don't know what I need to inform.
