seniors advice required -- Wrong visa office mentioned

My application reached CIO on 23th June 2010. I applied from Pakistan and mentioned Islamabad in Visa Office column. It is being said on many forums that London was to be mentioned instead of Islamabad for Pakistani applicants.

Now what choice I have? Look and Wait

Or May I send an explanatory letter to CIO as my application will be processed after more than one month.
If I write an explanatory letter then to whom it should addressed and what format it should have and how can I get reference no of my sent file?
I applied as 0213 which is not applicable under new rules.

Awaiting anxiously.

i wana say that you are not alone in this boat, i did the same mistake. well i have searched lots in this forum whilst on the web.. there are mixed comments about it.
Majority is authority! so i observed that most people are saying that if ur rest of the forms that u submitted to the CIO are complete, they might give u another chance to resubmit OR they will send u positive AOR with a letter to submit the application to London, UK.
You wud b extremely unlucky, i m afraid, if u will be rejected on this thing.
Dont b panic or stressed, the only thing i m doin is wait and i recommend you the same.
Just tell everybody to pray for you. InshAllah things gonna b fine.
Mine AOR suppose to be earlier than you so i will infrom you as soon as i get my AOR [b optimistic]

Thanks for your complete answer. My question is that rather than look and wait cant we take some action. We dont want cheating to CIO but just tell CIO that it was mistakenly wrong specified. If we get a way to tell CIO then we should.
Is there any way to send a corrective letter to existing file? and do CIO accept those letters?
If you know then pls tell me. I believe that if we are able to do something then we should do. If we cant do it then we should not worry.

Hi Rizwan and Sherry,

At this stage all you can do is Pray because as you have seen CIC refused one application because visa office was written Pakistan not Islamabad or London so this shows that they are refusing application for just small mistakes and they know Islamabad is the only office in Pakistan. I hope things goes fine with you guys.
