Hello Every body,
This is my first post here and I would to get some advice on my situation,a few months ago I applied for permenant residence for immigeration to Canada under skilled worker Category and it was approved from Sydney Nova Scotia,so I was advised to submit my Full application to the visa office which I did last month, however three weeks later from the day I mailed my full application,I have recieved a letter from the visa office saying that I am not qualified for immigeration as I dont have sufficient points,as I was awarded 20 for education,10 for age,12 for language, and 21 for the experience, but I didnt get any points for adaptability and I was very surprised as my wife is Canadian citizen who has got bachelor degree in Education from Canada and I did support all the documents to the office to prove that,so I sent them email asking why I wasnot awarded any points for my wife, then they replied back saying that shes lives in China with you and you cant get points for her education as I didnt include her as acompany family member,so I wrote back asking how would I include her as a family member and shes Canadian ,but I got no answer back from the office. So I would like to know what exactly should I do about this,do I have to sumbmit a fresh application?hw would I include my wife on my application as acompany family member and shes canadian?

why would you include a person on your application for Permanent Residence who is already a Canadian citizen? the approach you are following is wrong. you should ask your wife to sponsor you for Canadian Permanent Residency and you guys should submit a spousal sponsorship application. i believe she can still sponsor you for canadian permanent residency even if she is living outside canada because she is a canadian citizen.

First of all, sorry to hear about your situation.
Now back to you case, please note that the CIC is not responsible for guiding anybody nor giving anybody any information as to how to fill the forms and that is in my view why you did not receive any reply from them.

In my opinion, I think you may have to reapply and in the initial form, imm0008, you will need to write and answer the question,
How many family members (including yourself) are included
in this application for permanent residence in Canada?

and then fill out the details of your spouse.
Bear in Mind that to get the 5 points for you wife (adaptability), your spouse need to be resident in Canada.

Take a look at this:

Relatives in Canada
You, or your accompanying spouse or common-law partner, have a relative (parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, child of a parent, sibling, child of a grandparent, aunt or uncle, or grandchild of a parent, niece or nephew) who is residing in Canada and is a Canadian citizen or permanent
resident.

This is what I think. Let's see what others have to say.

That's true. Sorry, I never saw it from that angle. Of course, he cannot include her, she is a citizen of Canada.
