HI,
I am from India and i have done mechanical engineering with 9 years of experience in worshop (automobiles) where my duties matching with Noc code 7312 - heavy equiptment mechanics. Can i apply under this catagory. In india no such apperentiship is done by engineer in such kind of trade. so i am confused regarding my catagory. Moreover all the duties as descired i am duing the same.

Bro this category is out of the list since last two years or so. You just wait for the new NOC list and then see if your job responsibilities fit in somewhere in the given list. Best of luck.

Rathole,
I talked about Mechanical Engineer profession, rest you can choose any profession with which your job responsibilities match. Also be careful about the minimum qualifications of that profession. I mean if a 3 year diploma is the min educational requirement of the profession you are choosing out of the mandatory NOC, would be fine for you being a degree holder mech. Engr. But if the educational requirement of the profession that you choose is like one year trade certificate or so,....I fear it won't sound realistic on your part...that being a degree holder you been doing duties that a technician is supposed to do. Hope you got my point.

Ministerial instruction list have NOC 7312 your work experience matters a lot and if your fall under this apply. During my update in 2010 VO told me to provide at 4years experience under NOC 7312 which is Heavy duty Mechanic
