I talked to my agent he says that if you withdraw your petition then you would be banned for two years...is that true????
I am sure that he is not telling me right thing..and so far I have not heard and read anywhere on cic website that if someone wants to withdraw his/her application by having genuine reason then CIC will ban him/her..please let me know about it. I think I am still in a position to withdraw my application right?

No - it's not true.

Two year bans are given for misrepresentation (this is what you lie in your application about something and CIC finds out).

Two year bans are NOT given for withdrawing an application. Unfortunately you have a bad agent who is lying to you.
