Hi

So it appears that my citizenship application is on a tour across canada. After keeping it for a whole year, the local office has sent it back to sydney! I applied last year, and file was sent to the local office in 3 month. It then made its way back to sydney recently after completing a year's worth of tenure here at the local office.

I havent been asked for an RQ, RQ Lite, FP or any documents. Any idea about whats going on? I had the agents read out my electronic notes - and the only note he could read out was this one. Should I ask for an ATIP, or has this happened to other people before? CIC still maintains that it is a routine application, but this highly unusual path hardly seems routine to me!

Regards

I don't think that you have a real reason to be worried about that. Officially they still quote that the average processing time for regular applications takes about 2 years.
For me this is an indication that someone didn't get his part of work done on your application and that's why it is send back. Looks like an internal issue. I don't think that there is actual problem with your application.

Whew, thanks MUFC. The agent strongly maintained that there is nothing wrong with the application and everything is normal. I requested my electronic notes all the same in an ATIP.
