Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello!

Are we allowed to send updated application forms (Background & Travel) to visa office (in this case Ottawa) without their requests, to voluntarily correct some info I missed out earlier?

Thanks a lot!

I was advised not to do so as it was nearly impossible for them to track the package and attach the new documents to the original package. If it is something that is missing (ECA, funds etc.) then it is advisable to send it immediately. Else, wait for the visa officer to be assigned and then send updated documents.

*I was advised by a consultant and in no form am an expert on the topic.

Thanks! Indeed. However my application is already being processed and they just requested updated bank statements from me. Since I'll be sending docs anyways, should I attached the forms I want to update as well?

The info I want to update isn't gonna affect my eligibility, but still don't wanna be accused of misrepresentation or what not.

That is a different situation. Apologies I misunderstood. I guess it doesn't hurt sending additional documents if the information does not contradict what was provided earlier. Moreover, sending updated information along with a cover letter might show good intentions and work in your favor!

Since you are already way ahead of me in your process (I submitted my application in October 2014), would you be able to tell me when the ECAS reference number gets generated? Is it post the CC charge?
