Sending submitted document but forgot to write file number outside the envelope

Hi everyone,

I am really worried now. I sent my FBI police certificate to Buffalo visa office after they requested me at the interview. I sent to them but I didnt write outside of the envelope the File number, just my name and my address. I did attached the letter of the visa officer which has my file number on it and FBI police certificate inside of the envelope.
Does any one know that if it's a problem with them to track my file number? Would they know that is my document?
I have been waiting for almost 2 months since I sent it. I am stressed now. Please help!

I think they should be able to find out whose document it is..Trying calling CIC call center and explain it to agent as well.. This may help..

Hi, There is no problem as you have attached a more clear proof - the letter from the visa office which contains your file number. So, don't worry at all. It will go to your file.
