Sending Outland application

Hey,

About to send off my application, but I just read somewhere on here that if you apply Outland from a country other than your home country (I'm Aussie in Canada sending from Canada) that you need to pick if you want it processed in Canada or in the Sydney office? Is this true for you? I obviously want it processed outside (in Sydney processing centre) as it's much quicker, but do I need to specify this?

I think you are getting mixed up here. I 'think' what you are describing is whether you apply as Inland or Outland.

If you are living outside Canada, you have no choice, you must apply as 'Outland'. If you are in Canada you can apply as either inland or outland.

Thanks for the response, I do understand those differences.

If you are applying Outland from inside Canada, your application can be either processed in your home country or inside Canada, if you have been in Canada on a valid status for at least 1 year (still as Outland)

But I guess now we don't have a choice where they send it to be processed (there used to be a choice)

I think if we all had the choice we would pick Canada as the seem to be faster at processing. Never have i heard of anyone being able to chose which VO processes their application
