if so where do i send them to? the same place i sent my app? or should i just was till they contact me about the medical?

Hi Robotic,

I suggest you wait for your medical result before you send in your application, it stated very clear if any documents is missing your files will get reject and send back to you this even take longer time for your application to get approve.

ya srry i forgot to mention im applying inland so they do tell u to wait till they send u further info, but alot of ppl send the medicals anyways.

Wait until you get your medicals done, that's the most important- otherwise, they will send your entire file back if it's without the medical. Better safe that you wait a week, and send it all in together. However, Police Clearnace- you can send that in later

I applied inland as well. I did my medicals two days before sending off my application and sent the receipts in as proof.

Inland is a little different from outland in that we don't actually see the results. The DMP's directly send the file to Ottawa where they are then scanned into the system. After AIP is granted Vegreville will request this file from Ottawa

Having said that, it is not entirely necessary to do them before hand. CIC will not look at your medicals till after AIP is granted and that is taking 11 months at the moment. If this time frame were to slow down for any reason you then run the risk of having to re-do your medicals as they expire after a year.

Some people wait till after AIP is granted and then do medicals when requested by CIC. Problem with this is that it will slow your DM down by 2 months or more.

However you can still do your medicals any time after you have sent off your application, but before AIP is granted. You will just need to send the receipts to CIC Vegreville after the fact per the following:

1) Put the receipts in an envelope and on the front write "Please add to my file ASAP, time-sensitive documents", followed by: your name, your sponsors name, the date your application was received at Vegreville (via CP/Courier tracking), and if you have a client ID (previously issued through work permits) put that on there as well.

2) Put that envelope in another and address it to: CPC Vegreville, 6212-55th Avenue, Vegreville, AB T9C 1W5

I understand why you wouldn't want to wait to be requested from CIC for the medicals as then you'll be slowing down the process even more.. But why wouldn't everyone just send their medicals in at around 8 months in so that it's there before they need it but it's not so old that you may have to re-do it again after the year?

I dunno I'm applying outland so i'm not too familiar with the inland process but that's just my logic :) haha.

goodluck no matter what you choose to do!! :)!

ok thank you! ya i was thinking of doing my medicals a little after send in my app too cuz i dont want them to expire, thank you again!

for outland they have to b sent from the beginning but i don't see the same logic for inland....if others say that it's not necessary and they won't return ur file then why would u do it from the beginning when u have to renew them anyways....just my thoughts ::)
