It is observed that when one sends addtional documents to CPP-O Email id(after AOR), they mostly do not acknowledge that docs are added to your file.

Is it wise to send same email multiple times until you receive acknowledgement? Personally, I dont think so. But just to check with applicants experience and opinion on this.

Question for Applicants who have received GCMS notes recently:

If I send same addtional document multiple times to CPP email id (since did not receive acknowledgement from them that it was added to my file)

Does GCMS notes reflect that it was added multilple times OR it was only added when we received acknowledgement from CIC??

They wont respond or notify that the details you have sent them are added to your file. However, any e mail you sent to CIC will be added to your file. You will realize that all your communication ( in any form), will be added to your file, when you request your GCMS notes. In that notes, you will see all your communication and their reponses.

Hello,

Please tell me what is GCMS? I am making my application this month and have been reading this word at a number of places but could not find anything on checklist or instruction guide?
Hope I am not missing anything in my application...

Thanks

Its status information regarding your file which is helpful after 6-7 months you apply to know status of your file.
Search for GCMS notes thread in this forum.

Thanks cecapp369.

Just to mention, some applicants have received response from CPP that their documents are added to the file. Not sure why its not generic for all.
Result is that applicants send same thing multiple times to be on safer side.

kkalra, I know how it feels to worry that you missed something in your application! But rest assured, this is not part of the application process. This is an entirely optional method one can choose to use to find out the details of their application processing.

Just my experience.

I re-sent 1 form. I emailed Ottawa about a month later. It took them 1 week to reply.

Any other observation/comments from applicants who received GCMS recently??

You can review the CPP-Ottawa thread. Several users have contacted Ottawa or ordered notes lately.

Hey,
just to make your life easier...you can go to CIC website and find that CIC won't reply to your email if your queries is explained in its website...same ideology works when you send some documents through email...as there is nothing to explain they won't reply you back unless there is something missing...same thing happened with me my friend...I know it is frustrating to keep thinking what happened with your documents but trust me CIC will get it..GOOD LUCK!!

Guys: please read following observation from one of the applicants, his docs were not added by CIC and it was confirmed in GCMS notes

hey guys,

just like i said....my gcms notes came in this morning. i ordered them through the access to information act and paid the 5 dollar fee. received them on 30th day - June 10 to July 10.

read the notes and no surprises there. my files has not moved....except from CIO to CPPO. one detail worth noting is that the email i sent them with my document attachments was never apparently entered. 1. my attachment was 3MB, but i never received notice that its too big 2. never got confirmation from CIC 3. did not ask for confirmation post-email, as i wanted to see what would happen.

strategy hence forth....sending documents: 1 copy electronically and 1 hard copy via mail (also additional confirmation request over email)! this way i will make sure they include it on my file, unlike last time. luckily my file hasnt come up for eligibility yet, otherwise i would have been missing dox.

other than that guys...file sitting as "received" and locked in date is 1yr after my AOR. no other significant notes! i completed rcmp up front and sent with app. nothing completed by CIO, other than preliminary review and application-system entry.

Did anyone sent additional documents to CPP O where the PDF > 2.5MB and they acknowledged the mail saying document is added to the PR file?
