Hi,

I just got an AOR, I’m applying for PR from Canada (I lived & worked here for 6 years). I managed to send all the documents, but few days ago I got additional personal reference from my Canadian college to proof my English proficiency (as I haven't taken IELTS). Should I send it ? My AOR letter didn’t mention I need any additional documents, but I guess they haven’t assessed the documents well yet. Will sending this additional reference delay my processing ? Thanks a lot,

Katy

Katy,

You should know that if you didn't grow up in one of the countries where English is the primary language (US, Canada, Australia, Britain, New Zealand), you could still be required to provide IELTS exam results.

The AOR won't mention what additional documents you need to provide. In fact, they won't begin processing your application for about a year. So you can send any additional documents between now and then without having any effect on your processing time.
