Send updated reference letter through hard copy mail or scan copy email?

Do i need to send the original copy through mail of an updated reference letter to CPP-ottawa or a scan copy email should be good?

They are asking to send email.
Only police certificated should be sent by mail.

My opinion: (1) email, and (2) if you are worried and want to be sure, send mail as well.

Scan an email to CPP-O. Only police certificates have to be submitted as the original.
